On March 11th, The Underground members will attend a water feature workshop taught by Jay Bearfield, Internationally Certified Pond Contractor, and owner and lead designer of Liquid Landscape Designs, Carlisle, MA. The workshop will address the siting and design of the water feature. In July, The Underground members will return to the Healing Garden and bring the completed design to life. This beautiful feature will provide a place of healing and spiritual renewal for women in need. The Underground is presently accepting donations of materials and services for this project. The members of The Underground will provide the design and labor for the installation.
“We believe that this donation will mutually benefit all involved. It will not only result in a beautiful feature for the lovely healing garden, but it will also provide an educational opportunity for our members, exposure for both our organizations, and serve as a demonstration of our commitment to the community” said Bridget McManus, president of The Underground.
“Water provides such constancy and serenity to those who are struggling and living with breast cancer. We are thrilled that such a talented group is donating their time and services to make our facility even more healing,” said Betsy Tyson-Smith, Executive Director, the Healing Garden.
